10 October is World Mental Health Day
When it comes to mental health, meaningful connections matter.
Connections with loved ones, connections with community, connections with colleagues,
connections to supports and services, connections to Country – and connections to yourself.
For World Mental Health Day this year we are celebrating our meaningful connections
and raising awareness about how connections to supports and services,
and raising awareness about how connections can help us achieve good mental health.

Does your organisation want to join us
to raise awareness for World Mental Health Day and end stigma around mental health?
As we prepare for my Record Breaking attempt, I’m reminded of the importance of mental health conversations. Talking about our mental health can make a huge difference, it helps us cope with life’s challenges, feel less isolated, and seek the support we need.
Yet, opening up about our struggles isn’t always easy, especially when we need help the most. Whether it’s sharing your feelings or being there for someone else, meaningful conversations can change lives.
I came across this thought-provoking post and felt it was worth sharing. Let me know your thoughts in the comments, and don’t forget to save and share this to raise awareness and inspire others.

Today was the final wrap of Tap, Talk and Barefoot Beach Walk 👣 Over the past 6 weeks the group has learnt how to use tapping for sleep difficulties, anxiety, overwhelm, upset, stress, and worry. We discovered techniques to re-train our mind body systems out of fight / flight / freeze state and towards more regulation in the nervous system.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) also known as “Tapping” is an evidence-based stress reduction tool, which reduces stress hormones such as cortisol and helps us reduce negative thoughts, feelings and sensations. It is a powerful technique that works quickly to shift outdated emotional patterns and limiting beliefs. By tapping on key acupressure points, you can rewire old emotional learnings and step into a more empowered mindset. It is fast, effective, and transformative.

Take the time to talk 💬
Talking about our day-to-day lives and how we’re feeling can help us handle life’s ups and downs. This goes for family and friends, but it’s just as important with colleagues too.
Why not take 5 minutes today to check in with those around you? A simple `How are you?` could make all the difference.
🗨️ Don’t just ask once - ask twice. Asking a second time shows you’re genuinely interested and can encourage people to open up.
If you feel a colleague might need further support, encourage them to reach out to their employer, GP, or Samaritans.

Recently we marked World Mental Health Day alongside our partners from tiacs_ , but the conversation around mental health continues every day 🤝💙
Our rural communities—friends, family, and teammates—are at the core of everything we do. Nearly half of Australian farmers have felt depressed, with 1 in 7 experiencing it often, according to the nationalfarmers Let’s keep checking in on one another, not just on special days, but always.
